V12 Maintenance Release 1
This maintenance release is available for all users of PKZIP Server and SecureZIP Server 12.0. It provides the following product enhancements and fixes:
This maintenance release requires a new license key from PKWARE. Your current v8.x key will not work with this update. Customers on maintenance should contact PKWARE Customer Service or Technical Support to obtain a new key for this update.
PKZIP and SecureZIP Fixes:
- 2745 - Corrected a display problem when extracting files on AIX
- 6275 - Enhancement to include Windows CLI in available SFX types for all platforms
- 6561 - Corrected a display problem when using a wrong, or missing password with RAR files
- 6737 - Corrected a problem on UNIX of an extra NOOP command during FTP upload
- 6755 - Added support for latest FIPS validated version of OpenSSL
- 6767 - Added reporting of name resolution problems, specifically when using -ftp
- 6792 - Corrected a problem with exporting certificates to PKCS#12 files using pkcerttool
- 6807 - Added ability to display z/OS native block IO information
- 6874 - Corrected a typo in program help samples
- 6894 - Add support for restoring userid and group during streaming extraction
- 6915 - Corrected a problem that may cause a program crash when performing LDAP query
- 6930 - Improved memory usage on Windows platform
- 6932 - Corrected a reported file compression error for unintialized data
- 6933 - Corrected a problem with UTF-8 transitions if invalid locale is used
- 6934 - Corrected a problem detecting some valid UTF-8 locales
- 6941 - Corrected interoperability between -translate and -ascii options
- 6942 - Clarified program help for -owner options
- 6972 - Corrected an error in the message text reported for message E203
- 7005 - Corrected the -version option to report the correct program version information
- 7011 - Corrected a problem on Linux causing the program to hang while compressing some files
- 7117 - Corrected a problem with running PKSFX files on AIX 5.3
- 7121 - Corrected a problem where the -UTF8 option may not work on AIX or Linux
